LAVAL MEN – THE ALMIGHTY TALKDOWN
24 Jan

Zeus has been around long enough to know how to tread with caution and dial down expectations.

“Given that we lost both our keeper Danio Addona and defender Claudio Giro to season-ending ACL injuries, we know we’ll need to play a tight, responsible defensive game in order to make a run at a championship,” explains Michael Addona, Zeus’ leading goal-getter.

“Every team in the B2 Division is competitive so we can’t take any teams lightly. If we play our game we feel we can compete with anyone.”

Despite the cramped standings, a first-place finish is definitely in the cards for Zeus given their game in hand and relatively light schedule. And this week’s 5-3 win against FDA Standa 1 would seem to prove his boys may very well overcome the roster setbacks.

POTG: “We have a great group of guys that always work hard. But our coach Tony Addona gets the best out of each player and so we consider him our unsung hero.”
