LAVAL WOMEN – DRAWING AN UNLUCKY LOT IN LIFE
09 déc.

Breaking Even has taken on a whole new meaning for Chelsea this winter.

“I think maybe our hate of losing is much greater than our love of winning, maybe that’s what’s driving our results,” explains an almost philosophical Sara di Maulo following a 3-3 result against undefeated ASB – her team’s fourth draw in six games. “Unfortunately, we always seem to get unlucky at the end of a game – and by ‘unlucky’ I mean unlucky officiating. I guess that’s the turning point in most of our games.”

This phenomenon has left a competitive, fourth-seed Chelsea side a glaring ten points shy of a division leader (ASB) that has only outscored them by a single goal in two encounters this season. The next month should determine whether Chelsea is indeed unlucky, undervalued or simply doomed to squander two of three points eternally.

POTG: “I would say striker Fernanda Chanes and keeper Katia Codipietro consistently turn on their games when it counts. And in the FA Division, it always does!”
