If soccer is a young man’s sport, Brossard’s pre-season tournament was the young man’s moment of truth.

Three of the four semifinalists were completely new to the experience. And champions FC Garrincha seemed to handle that just fine, narrowly beating fellow newcomers FC Ortho 1-0 after posting equally tight wins over FC Footfire (formerly FC Brossard) and KW FC.

The rookie Garrincha will find themselves in familiar company this winter, competing with all their pre-season buddies in the B Division alongside a couple of seasoned South Shore veterans in Sabbah and the Blues.
