You can lose the season and still maintain the psychological playoff edge. All it takes is one last, well-timed victory.

“Wow, the win… with the Pink Ladies, you just never know,” explains Blitz captain Valerie Allard following a successful 4-3 regular-season closer over said rival FB2 Division champs. “Sometimes it’s them and sometimes it’s us. But one thing’s for sure – we’ll be ready for them should we meet them in the final!”

Despite the eight-point deficit, Blitz managed the Pink Ladies just fine this summer and would probably have made a tighter race of it were it not for a whopping eight draws. Interestingly, fellow semifinalists Queen of the World have given Blitz a harder time, which may explain why Allard isn’t jumping the championship gun just yet.
