ST. LEONARD – A SUMMER OF SIBLING RIVALRLY
13 Aug

After a bumpy first go at it, the toughest kid on the C1 block pulled no punches in the nasty summer heat.

After orchestrating an impressive five-game sweep of the entire C1 Division, Frates United made is six straight with a no-sweat 6-1 over Atletico Montreal this week to remain neck and neck with Night’s Watch.

While these division top dogs will duke it out next week with identical 9-4-0 records on the line, the real test for the Brothers could very well be FC Azzurri in a potential playoff round – the team responsible for half of their regular season losses to date.

“FC Azzurri have always been a challenge to play against and I’m sure that won’t change anytime soon,” declared Vincent Di Nallo some weeks ago. “Whoever ends up making the playoffs will have a chance to win it all, whether they finish fourth or first.”

POTG: Frates United’s Davide Pascarella, consistent all season, has come on particularly strong as of late with seven goals in his last four games.
