Misfits
LAVAL WOMEN – HONING SOME NERVES OF STEEL
14 Jun

The Misfits have been around long enough to know that any deficit is temporary if you believe it to be.

“We were actually down 3-2 to the Stars but, as the saying goes, ‘Stay calm and play on,’” wrote Misfits captain Mickey Giampa in a post-game email. “So that’s what we did. We just kept attacking knowing that we would capitalize eventually.”

The resulting 5-3 win has propelled the Misfits – no strangers to success – into a first place tie with Broad Squad. Current rankings aside, the FB1 Division will remains tough going. “I believe there are four or five teams that can beat each other. Competition is always a good thing. I think this season will be interesting.”

POTG: “Jessica Ruscio played like I know she can. The whole team played well.”
