RDP – LAST-MINUTE
31 mar.

Two concurrent finals took two very different directions roughly midway through the second half.

The Expendables were nursing a comfortable a 4-1 lead over frustrated C2 leaders Wolfpack while next door, on Field 3, Calcio D’Oro were up 2-1 on B4 strongmen Quattro Stelle on two very hard knocks by Emmanuel Lucia.

But then just as Calcio D’Oro’s keeper/captain Richard Syringe crumpled in pain over a cross-gone-wrong that would force him to leave the game, Wolfpack started to climb back from the dead. Two quick goals followed for both the B4 and C4 leaders. The air grew tense with prospects of overtime. But while Quattro Stelle managed to hang on for the 3-2 come-from-behind win, the Expendable managed to hold on to their 4-3 victory as well.

For the Division C4, the amazing FC Pumas won the final with conviction against the season champions Boavista. Despite some openings for the season champions, the red card received in the second half had just eliminate there hopes. Only FC Pumas was able to defeat Boavista during the season and the final.

To close the RDP winter Championship we had two long-awaited finals. In the C3 division AS Dynamo battled Italtech who were unable to counter the Ukrainian Iurii Tarasenko striker with a hat-trick to seize the title. On the side of the 35+ division, the season champions Don Bosco have taken early control of the match to win 5-3, despite a boost of energy from Atacama late in the game.

Earlier in the week Campania made it three straight championship wins against les Castors in the B3 Division, while Cassi Design added another notch to the B2 trophy. Meanwhile in C1 Division Toight Toigers stopped Camvi’s tired playoff antics with a solid 3-1 win.

POTG: Chris Mirasyedi and Sean Rosa each scored twice as Campania squeaked past Castors for their third consecutive championship.
