Redmen
BROSSARD – UNDOING THEIR OWN DEMISE
08 Jan

When the Redmen blew a three-goal lead against FC Moldova 2 back in early December, the eventual 5-3 loss set in motion a terrible slide down the C Division ranks.

“The turning point came in the locker room last week when our team made a commitment to not only show discipline but, more importantly, epitomize persistence,” explains a thoughtful Adolphe Benz following a crucial 2-0 revenge-match against the same division leaders this Sunday. “Every single player this week showed what real men are made of and kept their word.”

Although currently out of playoff contention, the Redmen can take further comfort in a more robust bench now that the holiday travels are done with. “We know what we are capable of when we challenge ourselves. Confidence is not lacking in this team.”

POTG: “It would have to go to Robert Ribuffo, who delivered the first goal of the game and prevented a potential equalizer from Moldova in the first half – which could have proven to be a momentum shifter for the opponent.”
