Montreal United might be working itself up to a championship crescendo.

“They were playing to stay in first and we were playing to get into first,” explains captain Mauricio Aguilar, who will be sleeping a little better knowing his division rivals are human after all. “We don’t know who we are going to face in the playoffs, but if we face the Lost Boys it will surely be a beautiful game of football!!”

The 1-1 draw now puts Montreal United within three points of the division leaders and two behind Havana Club, who are also tearing it up in the C3 Division this summer.

POTG: Our biggest surprise has been Christopher Orellana – our youngest player at 16 years old – who has scored eight goals in six games. After struggling some seasons ago, Sammy Ricci has also been very surprising.
