Even those who have made a habit of last-minute miracle playoff runs have to at least consider the possibility that their luck may run out.

“I can tell you that we have had a frustrating season,” explains Mike Agozzino, who wasn’t able to attend what must have been a satisfying 8-3 thrashing against third-seed Argentalia Sunday. “We have had injuries to key players, vacations and, above all, bad luck. Nevertheless, almost everyone is back and we are going to first try to make the playoffs. If we do, we may surprise everyone.”
