A former division powerhouse is now forced to throw its underdog weight around in a desperate attempt to simply make the postseason.

A week after enduring a proper beating at the hands of current division heads Lakeshore, the Beans rebounded with a 3-2 nail biter against Lionel Crew to move to within a single point of the eighth and final playoff spot in the same FA Division they once ruled so mercilessly.

Complicating these pared down ambitions are FC United and Flashwood, both of whom also posted important victories this week to keep pace with the Beans. There are currently seven teams fighting for the bottom half of the division.

POTG: Stephanie Carreau scored her first goal of the season for the Beans, who will need all the offence they can get in the weeks to come.
