RDP – MAGIC, MYSTERY AND DIVINE INTERVENTION
13 Oct

It was a night of heated debate, the most significant of which transpired in the parking lot concerning just how many championships Mike Paladino’s various squads had actually accumulated over the last decade.

And whether it really is over thirty or not, the fact remains that Cassi Design are champs once again after a controversial expulsion in a very close B4 Final stunted FC Total’s valiant attempt to ice the Totalcampo legends. The heated Thursday night rollercoaster match ended 7-5; an otherwise unimpressive result for a defending champ that played more than a quarter of the game one man up.

What will remain incontestable, however, is just how instrumental keeper Richard Syring was to Calcio D’Oro’s 2-1, penalty-shootout victory against La Dictature the night before. With seemingly every last post, bounce and religious figure on his side, the captain managed to ward off three penalty shots and repel countless open-net opportunities to lead his Calcio D’Oro past the division leaders.

FC Selectcom closed up the RDP festivities Friday night with a 5-2 win over fifth-seed Argentine; thanks in very large part to a pair of nearly identical, magnificent free kicks by striker Nick Fiorentino in the first half followed by a lights-out performance by a pressured keeper Dino Meo in the second.
