Finals in both Laval and Brossard proved only that there are many ways to be proven wrong.

Let’s face it. Nobody had the FC Fireballs taking Laval’s premier women’s division. But they managed just that with a 2-0 win over Chelsea FC, a squad that knocked out panel darling Tacos Belles in the semis. Montreal United FC had the last laugh on FB favorites Gladiators FC. As for sixth-seed Boozy Bunch – well, they made Julian look like a raving mad genius after scraping by Rosso FC and MTL City to outright steal the FC throne.

Brossard, meanwhile, proved to be a shocker for completely different reasons.

Somehow, top seed South City FC ended up being the surprise A Division champion following their 3-1 win over Mistral. Ditto for 11 Amigos and FNZ FC, both elite and underestimated eventual champions in their respective divisions.
