It was a magical night for strikers Roberto Cicatello and Gianluca Pace but a lousy one for at least some panelists as both Half Senders FC V2 and Foot Clan got to the old boot in the opening round of the C1B playoffs. Unlikely and unloved winners Squadra D’Oro and Channel 4 News will now take on the darling Pink Panthers and Consolada FC in the semis.

Mushy FC’s 1-0 loss to Manu Bates FC, it should be noted, also came as a nasty surprise to those banking on the C5A dark horse in question.

A PEEK AT WEEK 18

The Champers look to oust Blue Sky as the opening round of the FC2 playoffs kicks off Tuesday. On Thursday, it’s the Toight Tigers and Rona FC in B5 playoff action.

Finally, fresh off ousting league legends Queen of the World, FC Toxicas will take on the Avengers in next Sunday’s St Leonard semifinal.
