The ruins
WEEK 5 - STINGY, FOR THE LONG HAUL
31 Jul

They say the Roman Empire crumbled on decadence alone. The Ruins are not about to become a case of history repeating.

The current occupants of the C5 Division throne have done so largely on the strength of their austere play, displaying little in offensive flash and relying heavily on rock solid defending, which has produced three shutout wins and a mere five goals surrendered in their first five games. This week’s 2-1 win over FC Euro has allowed the Ruins to enjoy a ‘generous’ three-point lead over both them and the FC Slappers, offensive heathens by comparison, vying to dominate the same treacherous landscape.

LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK 6 …

Les Bleus will be looking to take gain some ground on the now-imperfect Avengers when both FC squads meet Sunday evening.

Blittz will have their first go at undefeated FC Boisbriand in FB Division action Tuesday at 9 pm. And on Wednesday, Supersata will need to keep their wits about them as they put their undefeated C2 record on the line against a feisty Bambinos side.
