Second seed FC Delorme was supposed to be the one team standing between Camvi and yet another dominant playoff championship run. In the end, it wasn’t even close.

Instead, it was yet one more lopsided win for the league legends and another big game for Sean Rosa, Marco Agozzino and Adriano D’Ermo, all stepping up to give lead sniper Massimo D’ippolito a break, bolstering the B2 Division’s deadliest (and still-undefeated) offensive/defensive unit with a 5-1 win. It all but seals up the championship deal for Camvi only nine games in, leaving the likes of Delorme, defending season-champs Parmigiano and the Gladiators to jostle for the order in which they’ll likely be knocked out in any eventual playoff encounter.

LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK 10 …

Queen of the World will get another shot at current division leaders Art du Soccer when they face les Bleus this Sunday. Then on Tuesday, Blue Sky will have their eye on second spot in the FB Division as they battle FC Thunder.

In men’s C2 action Thursday, the Toight Tigers will take one last run at undefeated Motovan.
