WEEK 7 - X MARKS THE TOP
22 Aug

It was billed as the FC Division’s meeting of the minds. In that respect, Lady X and Aftermath laid it out like chess masters Tuesday night.

But it was teammates Tanya Niro and Karina Osuna who were the ultimate difference-makers as Lady X slipped past Aftermath. If the Ladies have now gone undefeated in six games straight after laying an absolute 7-2 egg to les Braves to kick off the summer, keeper Angela Caltagirone and her defenders deserve special mention for collecting three shutouts and conceding only four goals since that loss. The Champers, meanwhile, took advantage to lean into Aftermath’s hold on second spot following a 5-0 win over les Boucaniers.

LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK 8 …

The Cougars and Coriaces will both be looking for their first win of the summer in Saint-Leonard this Sunday. Laval’s B3 throne could potentially change hands when FC Jixon and Real Betise meet that very evening.

And it’s the same deal Wednesday, when Bruno Sports Bar will look to avenge an embarrassing 10-1 season-opening loss to the same FC Youngsters they now trail by a mere two points in the competitive C1 Division.
