Tigers
IT'S A TIGGY TIGER WORLD OUT THERE
30 sept.

Not all underdogs are cut from the same cloth.

Take the case of the Tigers, the FC1 Division squad that needed to win their last game of an otherwise difficult season just to get into the playoffs. They’ve already knocked out panel darlings Blitzz and Fischer Electrique and still don’t want to jinx it.

“We want to stay humble about our success so we don’t get cursed,” explains Samantha Galluccio, whose squad will be looking to stay calm and collected ahead of a final showdown against the B-Liners. “We never expected to come this far. However, as a captain I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished as a team and how hard we fight every week. We hope to bring home the cup on Tuesday as underdogs.”

Now meet Julian Otey. His sixth-seed Rona FC didn’t crack 500, suffered their fair share of fines, suspensions and shorthanded hung-over appearances and had both a keeper and coach quit midseason. They just knocked top-seed Galacticos out of the B3 semis.

And they want us all to know they’re not quite done yet.

“We’d like to make things clear to people seeing us in the finals as an upset. Our team knew this was coming and we expected nothing less. Me and my men are dogs out there. We know we’re playing a good team this week but we aren’t scared. We’re ready to win this league like we expected. We’re taking it home. This isn’t a message for Hells Angelos. It’s a warning. October 3rd, 2019 at 8:00 PM. Let’s hope they even show up.”
