LAVAL WOMEN - ALL BUSINESS UP FRONT, PARTY IN THE BACK
09 Dec

The undefeated All Blacks have managed to outscore and out defend every last one of their FB1 Division opponents, with two goals against and three shutouts to spare.

And all without the calming presence of a regular keeper…

“Nobody’s better than anyone else and we all contribute to the victories,” declares captain Daphnée Morency MacDonald, who’s taken it upon herself to fill the void in nets. “We’re also hard on ourselves and want to play well. But the fact that we don’t have a regular keeper might become a weak point eventually.”

The Cegep de Montmorency/Fabrose AA crew are in firm control for the time being, however, having made tight defence their top priority. And familiarity doesn’t hurt.

“We’re a large group of friends, so you definitely feel the chemistry on the pitch. Our goal is to perform and have fun at the same time.”
