BROSSARD - TEAM CRUNCH TIME
10 Mar

A four-game air pocket in mid December now has Team Canada circling Brossard’s C Division and running dangerously low on playoff runway.

“We were at the top of the table for the first half, but the second half of the season has been tough for us,” admits captain Steven Dicarlo. “We took a few games for granted and didn’t play to our fullest potential. And with the standings being so tight all season, we’re down to a do-or-die.”

A measly point shy of the C Division’s sixth and final playoff spot, currently held by FC South Shore, Team Canada will need to ride a modest two-game unbeaten streak and beat Block B – statistical equals in all but goal differential – if they are to advance. “They are in the same situation as us so it should be a playoff type game.”

But despite, Team Canada’s precarious position, all is far from lost.

“If we bring the same mentality to Sunday’s match and end up with the three points to bring us into the playoffs, we’re going to ride that momentum and make a run at the title like we planned at the start of the season.”
