Teams with spotless records and inflated statistics should always be weary of the equally large playoff targets they make.

Chakib obviously learned a thing or two about Roma during two regular season losses, which is why he felt it was imperative to step up defensive communication and clog the middle to counter the lethal counterattacking potential of his plus-83 opponents. With the game in extra time, the captain accepted a beautiful pass from teammate Nacer Zenaini and blasted the winner into the left corner. Nicola de Sanctis then intercepted a Roma attack and buried a magnificent insurance goal on a breakaway.

“Anyway, we did really good and I’m proud of my team because everyone knows that Roma has been one of the strongest teams in the league for years. Now they are dethroned.”
