With defending winter champs Piranhas, Zara and the FC Bullies no longer in the picture, a pair of relatively painless pre-season finales has left a dangerous power vacuum in Brossard.

Arsenal lit the initial fuse with their 4-0 shutout victory over regular season champs FC Dale Weise, capping off a solid Division 2 tournament that also saw them blow past FC Wahdat and House Stark by a combined 10-2 margin. But rather than spending their entire winter fending off Dale Weise in the B1, Arsenal will join the likes of FC Select, Sabbah 1, Mistral and Familia in Brossard’s A Division.

And that might prove a particularly painful move, given that Brossard’s top division dog FC Select simply had its way with newcomers Mistral in a 4-0 finale after delivering a true statement game by taking down the regular season winter champs Sabbah in the semis.
