RDP - UP AND AT THEM
22 Jan

Those constantly looking up leave themselves vulnerable to the occasional low blow.

“We were up 5-2 in the second half when FC Jabel began to make a comeback,” recounts FC Astrovia player Carlo Martello. “It was a closely fought game that was sealed when Francesco Parisi scored a late free kick to give us the win.”

To be fair, a loss to the struggling sixth-seed Jabel wouldn’t have changed the fact that FC Astrovia remain prime contenders for the C1 Division title, challenged mainly by a Tutto Bene squad who did get the better of them in their first regular season meeting and a Buffalo Soldiers side that has so far failed to find a solution to either or.

Still, Astrovia’s ability to get it done on both ends of the field means Martello isn’t making too much of it. “We have the tools to match up well against Tutto Bene. This looks like the year to have a second championship star added to the FC Astrovia logo.”

POTG: Massimo Guido added another pair to his 17-goal tally and continues to lead all FC Astrovia strikers by leaps and bounds.
