RDP - FEEDING THEIR OWN HUNGER GAME
10 Oct

For an undefeated team, the FC Stinjs sure came out playing some seemingly desperate and determined soccer.

In fact, Davide Pascarella had already helped power the heavy favourites to a 3-0 lead by halftime, rival C4 finalists Artemide seemingly stung by a timely stone cold Joseph Morgese save when it was still only 1-0.

Hunkering down in the second, the Stinjs surrendered a penalty shot goal and then watched their lead dwindle to just one goal under intense Artemide pressure. The crowd was suddenly abuzz and even Motovan.com, who would go on to handily beat Chez Pasquale Barbier 3-1 in the C3 final next door, would later inquire about all the commotion. That is, until Domenic Lacroche, in a perfect anticlimactic moment, put the game out of reach by burying a free kick through a very porous wall.

Some of the league staff were still buzzing from Wednesday’s emotional B4 final, in which the X-Men drag the heavily favoured Rip City to the sixth round of penalty shots, where their own keeper would finally miss his shot to surrender a heartbreaking 4-3 loss.

Morocco Utd would also get the better of Don Bosco in penalty shots in a 4-3 C1 Division final. And though there would be no Peters on the final score sheet, the RDPeters ultimately stayed true to their promise to wreak havoc across the C2 Division with a 3-2 championship win over the FC Bullies.
