ST. LEONARD - HOW TO BUILD ON A BEATING
31 Jul

The wins that should come easiest can be just as important as those losses that are almost to be expected.

“It was good game for us because we haven’t had back-to-back wins in a while,” explains Inter Club Montreal captain Michael Greenspoon following an 8-1 spanking of dead-last FC Chop. “We dominated possession, which was key for us because that’s how we like to play.”

Which isn’t to say Greenspoon and friends are playing all that bad. In fact, they’re holding their own in a C2 Division firmly under the oppressive grip of the sparkling perfect FC Jixon, who have beaten both Inter Club and Quattro Stelle twice already.

“FC Jixon is a great team of young guys. We blew a 3-1 lead against them last time around, which we feel was a mental lapse that we can overcome come playoff time. Our goal now is to extend this winning streak and keep growing as a team.”

POTG: “Me and Damiano Mucci really linked up well in the midfield, scoring goals and providing assists for our main striker Kwame Nimarko.”
