Benchwarmers
ANJOU - NO COLD FEET ON THIS BENCH
25 Jul

The Benchwarmers have hit a collective stride that has been several summers in the making.

“I think that every game – including our last one – has gone really well due to our great team dynamic,” explains a chipper Vanessa Zappitelli, whose girls have lost just one game all season. “We all get along so well. I have to say I’m so proud of everyone on this team.”

This week’s 5-1 win against a statistically comatose Blue Ice has left the Benchwarmers firmly in second place and just three points shy of Blittz, a team they drew back in June and will face again in several weeks time.

With awesome firepower evenly spread throughout the Benchwarmer roster, the upcoming meeting isn’t keeping Zapatelli and company up at night. “We’re not too worried about Blittz. If we keep up what we’ve been doing, I think that we can beat them and claim back the number one spot!”

POTG: “I can’t even name one player that has stood out from the rest. All of our passes have been connecting so well and so, literally every member of the team is responsible for our success.”
