ST. LEONARD - A TOUCH OF L'ARTISTIC FLAIR
10 Jul

He claims his Number 27 inherited Maradona’s Hand of God, his Number 11 treats the field like a dance floor and “Bombazos” can kick the ball from St. Leonard to Portugal.

A little loose on the facts, maybe, but Captain Antoni-Joan Tribo has got an interesting way of describing each and every last one of his players. “Together, we are all Artists in our own way and that’s why we will win!”

Despite a minor setback against Tutto Scheme last week, FC l’Artiste have been doing a good job of proving that offensive muscle, defensive discipline and just the right amount of artistic flair can go a long way in this league. After seven games, they trail undefeated Camvi by five points, which is good for third spot in the competitive C1 Division.

They have, however, faltered against their Division’s finest, which is why this week’s matchup against Camvi will determine if the Artistes really are more than just a smooth-talking and colourful bunch.

POTG: Jeremie Andre continues to lead all snipers in the C1 Division with 22 goals – earning him the title of “Pichichi” amongst this Artistic troupe.
