RDP - THERE'S NO 'I' IN TOMAS
24 Jun

Building a team around your top sniper is tricky business – especially when you happen to be that top scorer.

But after flunking out of the playoffs with his last three teams, Broke Boys captain Tomas Amaral may have finally got that formula just right. By bringing a pair of prolific midfielders into the fold to bolster a killer keeper/defensive nucleus, his latest RDP concoction is undefeated four games into their C1 season and looks poised to inflict even more damage.

“I think even I’m a little surprised with our success,” admits Elias, who – it must be noted – has already collected a C1-leading 18 goals. “I’ve had a great start but everyone else on my team has also scored, which is good news.”

Characterizing an 8-6 win over Kronenburg FC as the Broke Boys’ biggest win this summer, Elias remains weary of past foes Don Bosco and Morocco UTD, both of whom would like to ensure the GM/sniper’s playoff curse remains intact come the Fall.

POTG: “Nico Cordato is the best goalie in RDP. He keeps us in every game, makes big time saves and has zero fear of the ball in close range.”
