LAVAL MEN - A LITTLE LIGHT ON SUPERHERO
22 Jun

Despite a valiant comeback effort, an early three-goal deficit proved a little too much for the mighty Justice League to overcome.

“I’d say we carried the momentum for a large part of the game,” explains Adamo Albanese, whose squad would nevertheless surrender a 3-2 loss to a stubbornly defense-minded P.S YI. “We even hit a cross bar in the second half but in the end, the push wasn’t enough.”

Despite the loss, Justice League continues to occupy third place in the congested C2 Division. That’s already a much better start to this summer as compared to their rookie season of last, where they managed only four wins all season long.

POTG: While striker Waqar Shah gets special praise from his captain for a pair of beautiful goals late in the opening half, Albanese credits his opponents for “not giving us many chances to tie the game.”
