Camvi
RDP - HISTORICALLY HARDWIRED FOR SUCCESS
25 Apr

Much like valuable relics from a time past, the Agozzino brothers are all that remain of the original Camvi squad that first walked the field where Totalcampo was born.

“Camvi’s secret has always been the combination of youth and experience,” explains Mike Agozzino, who coached the squad’s latest 4-2 championship win over the undefeated youngsters of FC Pam, while his brother Mario barely played over two minutes. “Through the years, players have come and gone. But I guess the drive to win is in the DNA of the team.”

In other RDP finals of the no-surprise variety, regular top-division inhabitants Campobasso inched past the Blazing Stars 3-2 to pick up a B3 Championship last Sunday, thanks in part to a strong playoff campaign by Francis Agyei.

Now onto the shockers: Bottom-dwellers Nightrage manhandled AS Roma 5-0 in a C3 final that no one could have predicted, while eight-seed AC Europa stunned third-place Benedito DS 7-3 to capture the C4 Division crown. And a special mention to FC Bashtone, the seventh-seed C2 Division squad that defied many odds to blank the equally unlikely AS Dynamo in a 3-0 championship game.

POTG: Marco Agozzino had four goals in three playoff games to lead the new Camvi generation to its rightful glory.
