You couldn’t have invented a better team name to shock your undefeated rivals with, even if you tried.

“I’m so happy we won the finals but I’m even happier it was against the Misfits,” exclaims Primetime captain Melanie Moukas, the joy bursting through a flurry of smileys and exclamation points. “That makes it all that much more satisfying for us!!!”

Playing for a full house, the third-seed Primetime withstood the 16-0 Misfits with nerves and scoring chances to spare in this 4-3 victory, thanks in part to a pair of goal posts, one crossbar and yet another solid outing from keeper Melanie Laporte. “Next year our team will be back where we belong – in the A Division.”

In other finals, the Slackers blanked Cheetos FC 3-0 in FB action while top-seed ASB inched its way past Chelsea 4-3 to capture the FA crown. Wolfpact avenged a late-season loss to Queen of the World and went on a six game tear that culminated with a 3-2 victory over those very same FC1 rivals. And lastly, it would seem the stats finally caught up to R2D2 as Amazons handled them 5-3 to capture the FC2 prize.
